The Annual Satips Maths Conference was held on 4th November at Hurlingham School in Putney. Not only was it the first time we had held the conference there, but it was also the first time that a head of a host school had been brave enough to lead a workshop!

Having been warmly welcomed by Hurlingham staff on arrival, delegates were able to browse a range of resources from Numicon, Heath Books, who are the official Satips bookshop, and Galore Park publishers, who are also well known to Satips members.

After some opening thoughts from the conference organiser, delegates were treated to a look back at maths teaching over the last 40 years through the experienced eyes of Michael Ede, long-time broadsheet editor and great friend of the society.
