The ICT list was started by David Noble, Director of Studies at Bilton Grange School, on 5th January 1998 and was hosted on the Bilton Grange server. As it grew, in members and daily emails, it found a new host with Webbased Limited in Plymouth. For the past 12 months the list has been hosted by AFLOC Computing along with the SATIPS website.

It is difficult to calculate how many messages have been sent over the 10 years but since February 2007 there have been over 1500 on the ICT list alone. There are currently 160 members of the ICT list.

SATIPS hosts 22 subject lists, with sustainable_development-l, being the latest created during the Autumn Term 2007 to coincide with the first ever SATIPS Sustainable Development Conference held at Dean Close School.
